“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?”
Matthew 18:12
A figure running across a spring hillside, robes caught in the wind, going after the one who wandered, with gold leaf worked into the light. Painted for anyone who has ever thought they had gone too far to come home — He leaves the ninety-nine and comes running. This one is so close to my heart. I felt my own story in it while I painted — I was the one who wandered, and He came running after me.
